Coney Island anchors the southern tip of Brooklyn’s Atlantic coastline, and it’s been an amusement destination since the 1880s — Luna Park, Deno’s Wonder Wheel, and the Riegelmann Boardwalk still draw millions of visitors every summer, alongside longtime staples like Nathan’s Famous and the New York Aquarium. Away from the boardwalk, the neighborhood’s housing stock looks different from most of southern Brooklyn: large NYCHA developments and mid-rise co-ops line the peninsula instead of the one- and two-family homes found a few miles inland.

That apartment-heavy housing stock means a lot of our CCTV security camera installation work in Coney Island is building-level — lobby cameras, parking lot coverage, and shared-hallway systems for co-op boards and property managers, rather than a single-family driveway setup. It’s also a genuinely well-connected part of Brooklyn: the Stillwell Avenue terminal is one of the largest subway stations in the city, with several lines all ending there, which means our technicians can usually get to a Coney Island job about as fast as one closer to our Avenue S office.

Commercially, Coney Island runs on two different clocks: the boardwalk and amusement-district businesses that live and die by the summer season, and the year-round shops along Mermaid Avenue and Neptune Avenue serving residents. For the seasonal side, a website that’s ready before Memorial Day weekend or a network that can handle a summer crowd matters more here than almost anywhere else we serve — which is exactly the kind of website design and development and computer and IT repair work we do ahead of the season, not during it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you come out to Coney Island, or is it too far from your Marine Park office?

Yes — Coney Island is a comfortable trip from our Avenue S office, about 15 to 20 minutes by car, so it’s actually one of the closer neighborhoods we serve despite being at the edge of the peninsula. Same-day appointments are usually available, and that includes the boardwalk’s amusement-district businesses as well as the year-round residential streets around Mermaid and Neptune Avenues.

Coney Island is on the opposite side of southern Brooklyn from our Avenue S office in Marine Park, so it’s a longer trip than our closer service areas and we generally build a little extra scheduling lead time into on-site visits there.
